1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Valyd ("the app"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

2. Eligibility

You must be:

• At least 17 years old
• A student or affiliate of a recognized educational institution
• Capable of forming a binding legal agreement

3. Account Registration

• You must provide accurate information during registration
• You are responsible for maintaining account security
• One account per person
• You may not share or transfer your account

4. The Service

Valyd is an anonymous compliment platform where users:

• Vote for peers on positive prompts
• Receive anonymous compliments
• Build connections through positivity

5. User Conduct

You AGREE to:

• Use the app for its intended purpose (spreading positivity)
• Treat all users with respect
• Report inappropriate behavior
• Comply with all applicable laws

You MUST NOT:

• Harass, bully, or intimidate others
• Create fake accounts or impersonate others
• Attempt to de-anonymize votes or users
• Use the app for any illegal purpose
• Interfere with app functionality
• Scrape, hack, or reverse-engineer the app
• Use automated systems or bots
• Circumvent any security measures

6. Content Guidelines

While Valyd is designed for positive interactions:

• All prompts are created by us and reviewed for appropriateness
• User-generated content (names, profiles) must be appropriate
• We reserve the right to remove any inappropriate content

7. Anonymity

• Votes are anonymous and will not be revealed
• Attempting to discover voter identities is prohibited
• We maintain anonymity as a core feature

• Monthly: $4.99/month
• Annual: $29.99/year

• Additional features as released

Billing

• Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled
• Cancel anytime in your device's subscription settings
• No refunds for partial billing periods

Free Trial

• If offered, converts to paid subscription automatically
• Cancel before trial ends to avoid charges

9. Advertising

• Free users view rewarded video ads to unlock compliments
• Ads are served by third-party networks
• Ad content is not controlled by Valyd

10. Intellectual Property

• Valyd and its content are protected by copyright
• You may not copy, modify, or distribute our content
• The Valyd name, logo, and branding are trademarks

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE:

• Uninterrupted service
• Error-free operation
• Accuracy of any information
• Results from using the app

12. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, VALYD SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

• Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Loss of data or profits
• Personal injury or emotional distress
• Actions of other users

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify Valyd from any claims arising from:

• Your use of the app
• Your violation of these terms
• Your violation of any third-party rights

14. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account for:

• Violation of these terms
• Fraudulent or illegal activity
• Extended inactivity
• Any reason at our discretion

You may delete your account at any time in Settings.

15. Modifications

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of new terms.

16. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA.

17. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with AAA rules, except where prohibited by law.

18. Severability

If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.

19. Entire Agreement

These terms, along with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Valyd.
